The Hope for Youth Entrepreneurship Training Programme is a platform for breeding youth entrepreneurs. The youths were extensively trained in baking technology, fish production, grasscutter, mushroom, piggery, poultry, snail and vegetable farming over a two day entrepreneurship training programme held on 13th and 14th of August, 2017 to mark the 2017 International Youth Day.
The aim of the programme is to provide unique opportunities for the youths social and economic upliftment, whereby the latent potentials of the youth will be harnessed by providing openings for growth and personal development in various economic areas with special consideration for agriculture.
In order to further concretize the knowledge acquired during the theoretical sessions, a four day field trip which commenced on Monday 11th September 2017 and ended on Thursday 14th September 2017 was put together to enable the participants have a firsthand experience on the various skills they acquired during the two day training programme.
